Playful Meditations (2024) is a series of imperfect vessels in shape and glaze formulation

As if speaking telepathically with the earthenware clay body, each vessel demands unique marks of the hand through it’s body and skin. Each physical imprint leaves an unrepeatable contour, volume and ornamentation. Quick meditations on the wheel has lifted the weight of the bureaucracy of design. No orthographic drawings to scale, no 3D models, no planning - letting the vessels just be. A practice in letting the medium define expectations, letting go of control and embracing playfulness in fabrication.
